What do you do if you have a shoot and it’s 45 degrees (7.2 degrees Celsius for my international readers), windy and raining? Not a drizzle, but a hard rain.
Answer: get out the umbrellas and shoot! Getting a little wet won’t kill anyone. I poked a hole in a plastic bag, stuck my (weather-sealed) 70-200 through the hole, and started shooting. No need to reschedule. Ever.
Even though my 5D is not weather-sealed, I’ve done the old plastic bag trick dozens of times with no problems. It comes with living and working in Seattle. Just shoot.

tech note: All shots with my Canon 5D, 70-200mm f2.8L IS, ISO 640, f2.8.

Rain! That's not rain... actually, I've heard that Seattle is quite a wet place. Here we've experienced continuous rain for two weeks though this afternoon that did turn to snow for a brief period. (December 05, 2011 | 10:07am)
Ha! I love the umbrella shot at the end. (January 18, 2012 | 05:39pm)
